The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) published a resource titled “What is a ‘Pocket Rescission’ and is It Legal?”
ADMINISTRATION
President Trump issued an Executive Order titled “Improving Oversight of Federal Grantmaking.”
The U.S. Department of Labor released a workforce plan titled “America’s Talent Strategy: Building the Workforce for the Golden Age.”
COURTS
A Federal appeals court ordered the Trump Administration to restore the public apportionment database.
A Federal appeals court ruled that only GAO can sue the Trump Administration over impoundment-related matters.
A Federal District Court ruled that the Trump Administration’s February 14 Dear Colleague letter regarding diversity, equity and inclusion and the subsequent certification requirement issued by ED were unlawful and must be vacated as their issuance did not follow the requirements of the Administrative Procedure Act.
