RAMC WASHINGTON WRAP UP – SEPTEMBER 20, 2023

CONGRESS

The U.S. House Education and Workforce Committee approved several bills in a markup this week. The bills reported favorably by the Committee include:

  • R. 4259, Think Differently about Education Act;
  • R. 5349, Crucial Communism Teaching Act;
  • R. 5110, Protecting Hunting Heritage and Education Act;
  • J. Res. 88, a Congressional Review Act Resolution disapproving the Administration’s recent Saving on a Valuable Education student loan repayment plan; and
  • R. 4957, Department of Labor Succession Act.

ADMINISTRATION

The White House released a proclamation on National Hispanic Serving Institutions Week.
