ADMINISTRATION

The U.S. Department of Education (ED) finalized its Accreditation, Innovation, and Modernization (AIM) rule, which revises regulations related to ED’s recognition of accrediting agencies and the standards accreditors must use to evaluate institutions of higher education.

ED updated the College Scorecard by removing certain Minority-Serving Institution (MSI) designations and adding data on students’ average earnings at a given institution seven years after graduation.
